Utzalu is the manifestation of primal sonic irreverence. An extension of the visions behind Urzeit, Utzalu provides a much more minimalistic and raw black metal approach. Inspired by the themes of Emile Zola, Germinal explores suicide, depravity, and the desperation of the pathetic and the weak.

Every second of Urzeit's first full length drips with poison drained from whatever the world's most poisonous beast is. This is raw and unyielding, like any great black metal should be. Very well done stuff. Matthew Toye

Intense, swirling, beautiful mayhem, with a great sensibility to the ebb and flow between controlled chaos and sheer visceral release! An album as much to be experienced as listened to — and also relished! It’s monolithic and magnificent! Richard Pressley
